South by Southwest (SXSW) is one heck of a festival. It’s all parties, all panels, all movies, and all music – all the time. It’s no wonder many local Austinites make it a point to steer clear of the whole downtown area.
One of our favorite parts of SXSW is moving out of the Convention Center and away from the crowded 6th Street venues toward Auditorium Shores at Lady Bird Lake Park.
While located near the heart of the city, it’s a river away from the conference and tends to bring out more of the locals.
So, starting tonight, join us here for a free, outdoor concert! We’ll be set up at Auditorium Shores, off Riverside Drive, on:
- Thursday, March 17 (evening)
- Friday, March 18 (evening)
- Saturday, March 19 (afternoon)
There will be food vendors, incredible live music, and the best view of the city.
We’ll also be out there with our Chevy Corvette taking pictures. Come out on Saturday afternoon and get a picture of yourself with the Corvette, and we’ll print it right then and there for you to have your #ChevySXSW memory.
Afterward, Catch A Chevy around downtown to see all the excitement around SXSW Music as it takes over the city.

Corvette lovers continue to grow generation after generation and now we are all set to see the release of 2013 edition of Corvette super car.
I love that style of car. Great performance, enoocmy, and comfort.Only issues are that that LT1 motor is much more expensive than others. A distributor cap for a 93 is $20. For the 94-96 its $200 and you also have to remove the $200 water pump to get to it. A 94 water pump was $30. Good thing is those are in theory 100,000 mile parts
