General Motors Participates in Texas Truck Rodeo

It’s an annual event that takes place at Knibbe Ranch in San Antonio, Texas. Each year, the top truck manufacturers bring out their best, boldest and toughest trucks, SUVs and cross-overs for the Texas Auto Writers Associtation’s (TAWA) fall test drive event.

This isn’t your average media test drive event. The Knibbe Ranch offers the opportunity for all the participants to take the vehicles off-roading on some 2-wheel friendly courses, as well as some extreme off-road courses through rivers, over rocky terrains and up some bumpy inclines.

General Motors was representated in several catagories with a variety of vehicles.

Full-Size Sport Utility Vehicle: 2013 GMC Yukon XL Denali AWD

Compact SUV: 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LTX AWD

Full Size Luxury SUV: 2013 Cadillac Escalade AWD Premium

Full Size Luxury Cross-Over: 2013 Buick Enclave 1SN

Mid-Size Luxury Cross-Over: 2013 SRX FWD Premium Collection

Mid-Size Cross-Over: 2013 GMC Terrain Denali AWD

Full-Size Cross-Over: 2013 GMC Acadia Denali

Luxury Pick-Up Trucks: 2013 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali Crew Cab

Heavy Duty Pick-Up Truck: 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4WD LTZ Crew Cab

At the end of the two days of test drives, each journalist votes on a variety of catagories to determine the best of the best out of the toughest trucks, cross-overs and SUVs.
