Driving Away with the H-Town Camaro Club

H-Town Camaro Club

Beautiful weather, top down, sea air blowing in and a caravan of brand new Camaro Convertibles heading down to Kemah from Galveston. Yes, the H-Town Camaro Club and its supporters know how to do it big.

Earlier this month, Chevrolet introduced a fleet of its fifth-generation Camaros to the coast of Texas. And my-oh-my, was it a sight.

Aside from the Camaro Club showcasing their prized rides, the group tested out the newest model catered to those who know ‘Chevy Runs Deep.’ We brought out 25 Camaro convertibles and paraded them through the streets in honor of the Houston area being one of the biggest Camaro markets in the country.

After meeting up at the Kemah Boardwalk with more H-Town Camaro Club members, the group headed over to Ellington Field for “Aeros and Autos” and then onto the West Houston Muscle street meet.

Talking about it on our blog just doesn’t do it justice, though. You’ll have to visit our Flickr page to see just how beautiful a fleet of Camaros really is.

Have you seen the new Camaro convertible yet? Even better – do you own a Camaro convertible?

The best car in GM’s lineup, I buy this berofe I buy any Corvette, it has more style, a back seat and a functional trunk, making it a practical car. I prefer convertibles but I think I take the coup because it just looks better. I also take the automatic because it’s faster and quicker, and no doubt with a little work on that transmission, shift speeds and hook-up can be improved even more, getting it down into the 11′s with no engine work whatsoever. Hell with a tighter rear axle ratio, some drag tires and wheelie bars, I’m sure you could get it into the tens, also without doing anything to the engine. It’s a real drive off the lot hot Rod. But watch out for those wheels, with ZL1 carved into them like that they’re sure to be the first thing stolen.
