Summer is here, and it’s time for action! You are one key turn away from exploring the great state of Texas, but, when you live in the best state in the world, all of the options can be overwhelming. Here is a list of our favorite places to visit in Texas.
Check out the amazing bars and restaurants one story BENEATH downtown San Antonio. Cruise down the river on a guided tour, gazing at the little world beneath the giant city. Some of the best shops and Tex-Mex restaurants will be waiting for you once you get back on dry land.
Roam the vibrant “SoCo” shopping district till your heart’s content. But when your stomach needs its fill, there are dozens of awesome food trailers around the area. Finally, walk over to the South Congress Bridge around dusk and check out the thousands of bats hanging out.
Hermann Park has something for everyone. Take the miniature train from the zoo to the outdoor theater to the golf course. Make sure to check out the dinosaurs at the Houston Zoo, located within the park… Yes, dinosaurs. Hey, it’s Texas. Only the biggest and the best!
So much shopping, why limit yourself? Everything from the Northpark Mall to West Village in Uptown to all the cute boutiques like Forty Five Ten and Bloom. Dallas is a city that is as fashionable as it is fun. It’s the perfect place to, in the words of Tom Haverford, “Treat. Yo. Self!”
Make sure to giddy up to Cowtown and the Fort Worth Stockyards for a true taste of Texas. After buying a pair of cowboy boots… or two, step on over to a dancehall for a night of dancing. Don’t forget to grab a table at Joe T. Garcia’s for some of the best Tex-Mex you will ever have.
