Blockbuster movies are stacking up this summer! With movies such as Madagascar 3, The Amazing Spider-Man, Savages and The Avengers, it’s tough to pick out the top movies, but here are the must-see movies on our list.
The Action-Adventure flick your girlfriend will actually sit through. She may go because you dragged her to the other Batman movies, and now, you argue, she has to finish the series. It’s also entirely possible she is drawn to the mysterious and rugged Bruce Wayne. Whatever the case, Dark Knight is sure to please with the appearances of John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and Bane (Tom Hardy).

The Dude Date is set up by comedic powerhouses Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis battling each other for a congressional seat in North Carolina. Each comedian brings his mark to the screen, giving us possibly the funniest movie of the year. Ferrell and Galifianakis will fight for your vote on August 10.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
The Rom-Com that’s more about a friendship than about romance. Seeking a Friend brings us two people pursuing love at the end of the world—literally. Dodge (Steve Carrell) is looking for his long lost high school sweetheart, and Penny (Keira Knightley) is trying to reconnect with her family as an asteroid makes its way to Earth. Funny and touching, it reminds us about the importance of friendship in even the most unlikely of situations.

The Comedy you find borderline offensive. Wildly successful in its opening weekend, Ted rocked the box office with Bostonian bravado and brashness in telling the story of a grown man and his teddy bear. Written and directed by Seth McFarlane, Family Guy fans will surely recognize his signature voice, outlandish scenarios and bold comedy.

The Family Movie that you won’t want to miss. The vibrant, redheaded Merida fights her father’s will for her to marry after she finishes school, and struggles to follow her dreams due to society’s expectations. We follow her journey as she runs away from home and turns her back on her parents’ plans.

The Chick Flick you don’t want to admit you saw when your boyfriend asked what you did this weekend. Sure to showcase plenty of Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum bared bodies, the movie takes off with the aspirations of “Magic Mike” (Tatum) and his struggle to be more than a male stripper. You’ll surely be crying by the end of the movie, either from laughing or because you truly empathize with the main man, Mike.

So, that’s our list. The theater is calling. What other movies are you most looking forward to seeing? Let us know.
